Kelton's Dark Corner (Episode 1).
Short film starring Paul Marco as "Kelton the Cop". Directed by Vasily Shumov. Length: 14min 20sec.

Review by Bob Bankard from PhillyBurds here.

KELTON'S DARK CORNER can be best described as "Ed Wood meets Raymond Chandler". An older, wiser, more resilient Kelton the Cop, best known for facing off against aliens, zombies and disembodied spirits, finds himself on the mean streets of L.A., confronting real-life monsters, like a character in a Joseph Conrad novel, in a literal, figurative and psychological urban jungle hell.

PAUL MARCO (Kelton the Cop), born and raised in Hollywood, has been an actor since childhood. He created the character "Kelton the Cop" for the "classic" cult films BRIDE OF THE MONSTER, PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and NIGHT OF THE GHOULS, directed by Edward D. Wood, Jr., sometimes referred to as the "Kelton Trilogy" due to his character being the main unifying element in all three. Paul has also appeared in the Ed Wood documentaries FLYING SAUCERS OVER HOLLYWOOD and THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EDWARD D. WOOD, JR., and was portrayed by Max Casella (and appeared himself in the DVD version) in Tim Burton's Academy Award winning feature ED WOOD.

VASILY SHUMOV (Writer/Producer/Director) has enjoyed a noted and successful career as a Rock musician in his native country Russia before moving to the U.S. attending California Institute of the Arts (MFA’98) and after graduation settling in Los Angeles. He has applied his technical artistry to both his music as well as to the numerous digital art videos he has produced and directed. KELTON'S DARK CORNER represents Vasily's first presentation along the lines of more traditional storytelling.

ALAN DOSHNA (Assistant) was the Associate Producer and Historian of the documentary THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EDWARD D. WOOD, JR., and was Assistant to the film's Producer, the late Crawford John Thomas. An Actor as well as a Writer, Alan came on board KELTON as a cast member. In March 2006 Alan was featured in the Back Stage West "Who Got the Part" column by Sarah Oakes. You can read it here.
